i love

So, a little more about me. West Texas roots, New York eye.
I'm a self-taught photographer, no formal training, just years of trial, error, and obsessive curiosity that started back in 2010 (although much much earlier) and never really stopped.
I shoot a hybrid of film and digital, although I have a soft spot for all things film. I'm happiest chasing good light or noticing some small details or moments most people walk right past.

I'm also a sucker for the finer things — fashion, art, jewelry, a good museum

Outside of weddings, you'll usually find me traveling, trying to find good bbq in nyc, wandering the city with a camera even when I'm technically off the clock, or at home on the Upper East Side with my Cavalier, Willow, who has very strong opinions about snow and rain.

Every wedding starts with a conversation, not a questionnaire. I want to understand your story, your day, and what actually matters to you before I ever pick up a camera.  My favorite photographs are the ones nobody saw coming.
On the day itself, I move quietly. I'm there to document, not direct — though when a moment calls for  guidance, im always there to  step in just enough to help it happen naturally. Most of my time is spent watching, waiting, and staying ready.
Afterward, editing is where the story comes together. I take my time with color, tone, and sequencing so the final images feel cohesive — like a body of work, not just a folder of photos. You'll get a gallery that feels like your day, exactly as it felt to be there.

KIND WORDS
Working with Julian feels calm, effortless, and personal from the very first conversation. He takes the time to understand your vision. With an intuitive sense for timing and emotion, Julian anticipates moments before they happen — capturing them with honesty, elegance, and ease.
Clients describe his presence as warm, grounded, and unobtrusive. He blends seamlessly into the day, letting you fully enjoy every moment without feeling like you're constantly being photographed. His direction is gentle yet purposeful, creating space for real emotion and natural movement while ensuring every frame feels beautifully composed.
Julian works efficiently so you can focus on celebrating, turning fleeting moments into timeless images that feel alive with emotion. The result is a body of work that's both artful and deeply personal — photographs that let you relive your day exactly as it felt.
